When Aspen arrived at the MD SPCA, he had a dislocated elbow.
This was so uncomfortable that he used this elbow as a foot. However, repeatedly walking on it was causing major skin trauma.
Our vet team determined that surgery was the best option. After removing his leg, we sent Aspen to a loving foster home with medication and a collar.
This amazing kitty adjusted beautifully, despite his advanced age. Soon enough, he was ready for adoption. And he quickly caught the eye of a special adopter.
Aspen’s forever friend said she “had a lot of love to give” and that Aspen deserved it. It was a perfect match, and this kitty and his family couldn’t be happier.
