Brownie's Care Fund

Brownie’s Care Fund supports the pets in our care by funding essential services including shelter medicine, adoption, foster, and behavior programs.

Thanks to quick response, Brownie, a resilient dog who survived two gunshot wounds and an amputation, lived out his days surrounded by love. Created in his memory, this fund helps pets heal, grow, and find homes.

Lucy's Community Fund

The Lucy Community Fund supports outreach programs like Kibble Connection (our pet food pantry), PAW Plus (free basic veterinary care), and humane education initiatives for first responders and people of all ages.

Named for Lucy Gaga—our first therapy dog and the heart of our outreach efforts—this fund continues her legacy of connection and compassion.

You’ll get a donation receipt from our vendor, CARS, at the time of pick-up, and once your vehicle is sold, we’ll send you the necessary tax documents. Have questions? CARS’ Donor Support Team is here 7 days a week to help guide you through the process.

Gifts made in memory or honor of a special pet or person are a wonderful way to celebrate a birth, graduation, marriage or other significant milestone. Donate online.

Leverage an Investment Portfolio

Appreciated stocks and securities can have a big impact. Ask your broker or financial institution to inform the MD SPCA of a planned transfer of shares, so we may credit and thank you.

If you are 70.5 years or old, you may also direct all or a portion of your annual required minimum distribution to the MD SPCA.
