Wednesdays from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m., Starting June 19 through August 28, 2019

The Maryland SPCA’s Wagging Tales Summer Reading Program for kids ages 6-12 years old is back with a revamped program featuring monthly reading themes and participation incentive prizes. The Humane Education initiative helps both children and pets. It reinforces to children that pets should be loved and treated kindly while they strengthen their reading skills without being judged on their reading abilities. Additionally, the pets enjoy the company, and it reduces stress in pets who may be anxious in a kennel environment. Incentive prizes will be awarded to children who attend three or more sessions.
