**AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN FOSTER!** Hi! My name is Girly and I am a 13-year young, pug/terrier mix. Don’t let my age fool you! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to go on walks. I get along with my foster family’s two dogs and we often go on walks together. I love to sniff around the neighborhood and when the neighborhood dogs bark at me, I bark back as I pass by them.

I love to nap and to cuddle with my human; she lets me sleep in bed with her sometimes. I have my own fluffy bed that I use too. I’m a good sleeper!

I typically walk with my human to the kitchen so that she doesn’t get lost. She is so appreciative and laughs at me when I stare at her with my big brown pug eyes and gives me a treat- human treat or dog treat is ok. When I first arrived at the MDSPCA, I would not eat, so my human cooked human food for me and I LOVED it. I encourage her cooking by barking my appreciation until she feeds me- I get so excited. Now that I am ready for my forever family, my human is introducing me to dog food mixed with a bit of chicken breast or ground hamburger. I don’t mind it as long as it is soft or cut in little pieces. You see, I don’t have many teeth, so my food has to be little- like me.

I sleep in the bedroom with the other dogs and sometimes sleep in my crate. I go to the potty outside, but if I have an accident while my human is gone, it is typically on the pee pad.

My human says I am a very well-behaved girl that will thrive in a home that is slower-paced with humans that give me attention and lots of love. Are you that family? If you’re interested in learning more about me please email foster@mdspca.org with a completed adoption application and and more information about your household.
