Are you nervous about taking your puppy off the leash with unknown dogs? Are you worried they need more playtime, but you don't have the means to provide it?
Our supervised socials help your puppy build skills in a safe, sanitized environment. Early socialization is critical for dogs to develop positive associations with everything they’ll encounter as adults. That’s why it’s encouraged by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB). You can read their position statement here.
Puppy socials will cover the following topics:
- The four pillars of healthy, reciprocal play.
- How to identify red flags that could result in conflict.
- How to effectively interrupt play if you’re concerned about an interaction.
- The steps you should take to socialize your puppy during this critical period.
We want your puppy to have a positive experience with other puppies and people during the social. Socials aren’t designed to address problem play behaviors. Our certified trainers will be there to provide guidance and answer questions. All participants will receive a puppy socialization checklist at the end of class.
LENGTH: 30 MIN
CLASS SIZE: 4

We encourage you to carry your puppy from the vehicle to class to limit their outdoor exposure. Socials will be limited to four puppies and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
