AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN FOSTER Hi, my name is Mickey and I've been hanging out in foster because I needed to have some teeth removed. I'm an older guy, but my foster mom insists I'm the best beagle around! Don't be fooled by my age, I can be quite spritely considering I'm 14 years old. My favorite activities include: sleeping on the couch, sleeping in my bed, getting my butt and ears scratched, and taking a jaunt through the yard. My family thinks it's super adorable when I get excited because my tail is too big for my body and wags my whole back end when I get excited. I'm a pretty easy going guy and won't get into much trouble. I am currently living with 2 other dogs and 3 cats. The young Am Staff gets on my nerves because he wants to play all the time and I'm not interested in joining in on the zoomies. The 10 year old beagle and I are cool because we just lay around and watch TV, I'm really quite the couch potato. Even with the young dog jumps on top of me because he's excited, all I do is grumble and give him a warning snap (without actually making contact--kids these days!!). I don't care about the cats at. all. It's like they don't even exist. I would do just fine in a home with calm, friendly dogs and cats of any kind. Because I'm an older guy, I would probably do best in a home without young children as my hips and legs have some miles on them and I wouldn't want to get hurt with kids who don't know their strength or might try to pick me up. I REALLY don't like to be picked up, I'm not nasty about it--but I will scream and cry and make you feel like a monster if you try to carry me somewhere. I let my foster mom pick me up to put me on the bed, because she does it *just right* (but I still don't love it). All in all, I'm a older guy, but I still have plenty of life left in me. I would love to spend my golden years with you taking strolls through the neighborhood, snuggling on the couch, and making you laugh with my funny ways. If you would like to meet Mickey, please contact [email protected] with a completed Adoption Application and a brief description of yourself, your household, and lifestyle so we can see if Mickey would be a good fit for your home.
