Chunky Monkey

Chunky Monkey was transferred to MD SPCA from another shelter in January.

He was very sweet in his intake exam, purring the whole time.

Unfortunately, he was infested with fleas—to which he’s also allergic! His skin was itchy, balding, and crusty. The issue also caused massive lymph nodes. He was given flea medication and antibiotics, as well as scheduled for surgery to remove the masses.

Chunky Monkey recovered in a loving foster home. Then he was cleared for adoption! But he needed need a family who’d provide flea medication every month for the rest of his life.

Chunky’s foster parent said “He’s actually quite tiny and he’s a very sweet little boy.

“His first love is being petted and his second is dinner time. Chunky has big, beautiful eyes that are always telling you something. He likes to park himself right next to you, prop his paws up onto your lap, then use those big eyes to melt your heart. You’ll drop whatever you’re doing and pet away!

“Chunky spends his days on the window perch soaking in the sun and taking naps. Pets, dinner, and sunshine.”

That description must’ve done the trick, because Chunky Monkey was quickly adopted!
