SPCA Wish List
Help Us by Donating Needed Items
The Maryland SPCA is always in need of items for our animals. We have two wish lists, one for the animals and one for the animal caretakers so they can give the animals the best possible care. Please note that we are not allowed to accept donations of medication. We also cannot use pillows or sheets.
*There is an immediate need for these items, ESPECIALLY CAT TOYS and wet (canned) dog food.
Animals' Wish List
- Wet (canned) dog food (grocery store varieties are good)*
- Dry dog food (unopened bags)*
- Cat treats and toys, including toy mice (no catnip, please) and dangly cloth toys attached to a stick*
- Dry cat food (unopened bags) especially DIET dry cat food*
- Gerber jarred baby food—must be Stage 2 in beef, chicken, turkey or lamb with gravy *
- New paint rollers*
- PVC plumbing joints (extra large 6" fixtures, tubing is fine)*
- Bath and hand towels*
- Wet (canned) cat food (grocery store varieties are good)
- Chicken broth (low sodium)
- Soft dog treats sucah as Pup-Peroni and Beggin Strips
- Dog toys: Buster Cubes (puzzle balls to keep the dogs entertained), Kongs
- Enrichment toys for our larger dogs such as:
- Busy Buddy toys
- Large Kongs
- Tire Biter Paw Tracks toys
- Bike tires
- Basketballs
- Tennis balls
- Soccer balls
- Fleece material, by the yard, and washable blankets (no sheets, please)
- Kuranda dog beds (donate a bed at www.kuranda.com)
Animal Caretakers' Wish List
- 17' x 12.5' or smaller carpet for office with heavy dog traffic*
- Metal trash cans with lids*
- Baby gates*
- Large dog crates*
- Cart with wheels*
- Plastic shower curtains (opaque, not clear) and shower curtain liners*
- Industrial garden hoses, 25' and 50'*
- PUR water filters that attach to the faucet*
- Large plastic tubs (storage bins with lids, 15-25 gallons)*
- Puppy pads*
- Tomahawk feral cat traps*
- SnuggleSafe microwave heatpads and heatable water bottles for our animals in foster care and surgery*
- Scoopable kitty litter for foster care kitties*
- Regular heating pads*
- Hand or dish towels*
- Wash cloths*
- Lint rollers and refills*
- Nail trimmers for pets*
- Rubber gloves (dishwashing gloves)
- Plastic measuring cups
- Laundry detergent and bleach
- Paper towels
- Flat drain stops for sinks
- Large sponges
- New shaving blades for grooming (no old ones, please)
- Plastic litter pans for kittens and cats
- White and color copy paper
- Pens, especially Sharpies and highlighters
- Stamps
- Batteries: D, C, AA and AAA
No medications or catnip, please.
