Help Us by Donating Needed Items

The Maryland SPCA is always in need of items for the animals including pet food, toys and cleaning products.

Here are a few items on the animals' wish list for this year:

  • Cat toys
  • Toy mice for the cats
  • Squeaky and plush dog toys
  • Buster Cubes – puzzle balls to keep the dogs entertained
  • Kongs
  • Enrichment toys for our larger dogs such as:
    • Busy Buddy toys
    • Tire Biter Paw Tracks toys
    • Bike tires
    • Small basketballs
    • Soccer balls
  • Bath towels
  • Hand towels
  • Small rugs
  • New paint rollers
  • Coffee containers – big plastic cans, not metal
  • 2 liter bottles or water bottles
  • Old vitamin bottles with child-safe lids
  • Fleece material, by the yard
  • Peanut butter (low sodium)
  • No catnip, please.

 

The animal caretakers also have a wish list in order to help them give the animals the best possible care:

  • Digital SLR camera for photographing animals to help them get adopted *
  • PUR water filters that attached to the faucet*
  • Large plastic tubs (storage bins with lids, 15-25 gallons)*
  • Wash cloths*
  • Hand or dish towels*
  • Bleach
  • Fabric softener
  • Laundry detergent
  • Paper towels
  • Large sponges
  • Grooming materials
  • Animal playpens
  • Plastic litter pans for kittens and cats
  • Short-term holding cages for pre-surgery dogs ($5,000 for six units)
  • Copy paper
  • Colored copy paper
  • Pens
  • Post-its
  • Staplers
  • Stamps
  • Scissors
  • Hi-Liters

*There is an immediate need for these items.

At this time, we do not need additional toothbrushes.
