Transporting pets

With just a few days left in 2017, we’d like to share with you how the Maryland SPCA’s Transport program has been helping homeless pets and other animal shelters this past year. Thanks to generous community support, the MD SPCA’s transport team has been able to make regular visits to other local shelters in Baltimore and across Maryland and bring pets to our adoption center so we can find them loving homes and free up space at the other shelters.

Many of the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies brought back to the MD SPCA, including pets from our local sister shelters, require comprehensive medical treatment that we’re able to provide, only because of donations we receive from friends like you.

Whether it’s a dog who requires orthopedic surgery to walk pain-free or a shelter who can no longer take in pets because of lack of space, your MD SPCA won’t let them down.

Please take a moment to watch this video to see how our Transport program was able to save almost 1,500 pets this year.

We are here for homeless pets, other shelters and our community! But, we can’t do it alone.

Please join our life-saving efforts, and Paws to Give your best tax-deductible year-end gift right now. And, thanks to two generous donors, any gift made before 11:59 p.m. on New Year's Eve will be matched (up to $10,000). With you by our side, we can continue saving pets and helping other shelters in the New Year.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to pets in need. Have a happy and healthy 2018!
