Ready for some paw-some news? The Port Covington Development Team, who has been planning a music concert bringing local, regional and national acts to Port Covington on Saturday, May 5, 2018, Cinco de Mayo, selected the Maryland SPCA as their animal welfare organization of choice.
They offered to host our largest fundraiser of the year, which you might know as the ‘March for the Animals,’ and combine the activities everyone loves—our walk-a-thon, pet activities, kids fun zone, pet-friendly vendors, and our huge name-your-own price “flea-less” market of pet products—with some amazing, live music!
Please join us for the ‘Maryland SPCA Festival for the Animals,’ a march (1 mile-walk-a-thon) and music celebration for all!
The newly added walking paths along the water, lots of green space your pet will love, and plenty of FREE parking you’ll love, makes Port Covington the purr-fect location for the ‘Festival for the Animals.’ View location map.
Hosted by Port Covington and presented by M&T Bank, it is free to attend the Festival, including the concert area. Because it is such an important fundraiser for the MD SPCA, we’re asking participants in the walk-a-thon to raise or donate a minimum of $40 to receive an event T-shirt and pet bandana.
Did you know?
Funds raised will benefit the thousands of pets the MD SPCA saves and cares for each year and will allow us to continue to offer important programs and services for pets, pet owners and children.
Can we count on your support?
Visit festivalfortheanimals.org and register to participate in our walk-a-thon that starts in West Covington Park. You can sign up individually or form a Pack (a team of friends, family, co-workers).
And, if you are on Facebook, please share our Festival event page with all of your friends—the more people who attend, the more pets and people we can help!
Can’t make the event? You can join us ‘virtually’ by becoming a cat napper. You can fundraise and make a gift from the convenience of your own home!
Let’s get the paw-ty started. Register today!
