Two paws up Maryland--you did it! 2,590 homeless cats and kittens were adopted from the Maryland SPCA and 19 other Maryland shelters during our 2nd Annual Maryland 2,000 Saving Lives Across Maryland month-long adoption promotion.
Thank you to everyone who opened your hearts and homes to a homeless feline in July! You not only helped the pet(s) you adopted, but you made room in our shelters so we could take in other homeless cats and kittens during this busy time of year.
And, a big thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about this important promotion! With your help, 195 more cats/kittens were adopted from the participating shelters this July compared to last July.
Thank you to the Maryland 2,000 sponsor Cat Hospital At Towson for providing adopters from the MD SPCA, Baltimore County Animal Services, Baltimore Humane Society and BARCS free feline wellness exams. If you adopted a new furry friend during the Maryland 2,000, we'd love to see photos and receive Happy Tail updates. Share them on our Facebook page or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
