The Maryland SPCA's Reading Program at Project Adopt in White Marsh Mall is back! Designed for kids ages 6-12 years old, the reading program will run from 1-2 p.m and continue weekly on Saturdays.
“The Reading Program is a program that will benefit children and also benefit the pets waiting to be adopted,” said Katie Flory, director of community affairs at the Maryland SPCA. “It will help reinforce to children that pets should be loved and treated kindly while they continue to strengthen their reading skills without being judged on their reading abilities. The pets enjoy the company, and it reduces stress in pets who may be anxious in a kennel environment.”
