To reduce pet overpopulation, the Maryland SPCA provides high-quality, low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter surgery for cats and dogs to qualified groups and pet owners.
The Maryland SPCA advocates spaying and neutering of all pets to combat the tragic animal overpopulation problem. To this end, all cats and dogs adopted from the MD SPCA are spayed or neutered before they are released to their new owners.
Altering dogs and cats can dramatically reduce the risk of developing certain types of cancers. Additionally, altered dogs and cats are less likely to wander and become lost while searching for a mate and are less likely to bite or become aggressive. These are all great reasons to spay or neuter your pet while helping to reduce pet overpopulation.
Our clinic is open Sunday through Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. All pets must be dropped off at the specified drop-off time in the morning and picked up at 4:00 p.m. the same day. We do not board pets overnight.
All patients must have an appointment. If you would like to book an appointment, please e-mail fixem@mdspca.org or call the MD SPCA's spay/neuter line at 410-235-8826, ext. 140.
