Jennifer A. Carle, book author, presents Shop-a-Paw-Looza, our online auction, October 2-27, 2009
Shop-a-Paw-Looza 2009, our fifth annual online auction, opened for bidding Friday, October 2 and continued through Tuesday, October 27 at www.mdspca.cmarket.com. Thanks to our generous sponsors, item donors and bidders, we raised $55,453 for the needy and homeless animals at the Maryland SPCA.
This year, participants bid on fabulous items such as a custom-made cake from Charm City Cakes, Ravens tickets, a pet-of-the-month photo in the 2011 Maryland SPCA Pet Calendar, artwork, restaurant gift certificates, cases of wine and much more. The items that received the greatest number of bids were: (1) breakfast with the dolphins at the National Aquarium, (2) two clubhouse tickets to the Ravens vs. Lions and (3) two tickets to Bruce Springsteen at 1st Mariner Arena.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the auction! Our auction sponsors, item donors and bidders made Shop-a-Paw-Looza 2009 a success for the animals.
