Hi! I'm Regina. I'm a sweet but sassy older lady who is in the market for a forever home. When I came to the shelter I was in pretty rough shape and it took a few months to fix me up but I'm ready to go now! I'm living with a really nice foster lady until my family comes along and she wanted to tell you more about me: "When Regina first came to us she was definitely working through some trust issues, she was super suspicious of feet and hands at first, swatting way more in the beginning. Also afraid of the ceiling fan and her own reflection in the mirror. Now, she loves to cuddle up to us on the couch and in my bed, and even tries to jump on my lap while I'm in the bathroom, haha. We've been letting her have free reign of the living room, hallway, and kitchen and inviting her into bedrooms and the bathroom when we're around to supervise. She hasn't messed with our things really, shelves are still in tact, she knocked over a rickety plant stand on her first night but nothing since then. She's way more loving and trusting and gentle now, when she doesn't want to be touched or cuddled anymore she mostly just says a meow and moves, walks away but still sometimes hisses. But she calms down really quickly. Regina would do best in a home with no other pets with someone who can give her attention and a calm comfortable place to live out the rest of her life."
