Dobby has been under the Maryland SPCA's care for almost an entire year! This sweet and lovable guy has been in foster care because we had to sort out several medical issues. However, Dobby doesn't let his condition get him down, he's a very sweet dog who wants nothing more than to snuggle and play with your children until it's nap time. Dobby has a condition call Diabetes Insipidus, which is currently being managed with daily medication. He's good for his meds, which are easy to administer. Here's what Dobby's foster family has to say about him: Dobby, the amazing 7 year old Puggle, is currently being fostered by our family. He is a curious and loving dog. In our family, he typically follows the mother of the house around from floor to floor. Once meeting and spending time with Dobby, it is hard not to fall in love with his sweet and loving nature. Dobby gets along great with other dogs and cats. He's mostly house-trained, as long as you get him out often enough. He is very serious about his hydration, health conscious little dude, so he needs to go out more often than the other pups. He has been with us since January 31, 2018. In February, Dobby was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcomas. Unfortunately, they are malignant. However, the good news is that despite the fact that they commonly recur (re-growing in the same location) they are slow-growing and they normally do not spread to other areas of the body. Dobby's recovery has been slow and steady. He does not show any signs of pain and will likely live many more years. Dobby is patiently waiting for his forever family but excited for the opportunity to love. Dobby is AVAILABLE FROM A FOSTER HOME, if you would like to make an appointment to meet Dobby, please contact us at foster@mdspca.org Finding The Right Pet
